Thought of the day
A few days ago, Pedro a friend from school, shared with us one moment of inspiration with this beautiful saying. He said he couldn't dare to publish it (well he did and then erased it!) fearing people's reaction... Well, today I decided people need to read because I find it fascinating and so truthful and want people to know who the author is!
People are meant to love and things to use. The world is how it is now because we love things and use people... - Pedro Sureda.

- Pedro Sureda.

Jorge Bucay...
For my birthday I was given a beautiful book " 20 steps forward", and among the messages shared with us by the author I wanted to write about STEP nº 10!. Choose good companies....
He wisely talks about our "musts" in life. How often we MUST get up early to enjoy our day, MUST run to the gym to get fit, MUST leave the house in a hurry in order to get to a place and get the best seats, MUST eat in 2 minutes to watch the game, MUST ride our bike around the park, because we just haven't done it in a while, MUST go and watch the movies everyone talks about!, must must must..and often in the name of "not missing out on anything", we miss out on ourselves and others, we miss out on the pleasure of sharing things with our good friends.
I have always been very aware of the importance of a true friendship and the need to surround ourselves with love... we can't choose our family but sure we can our friends and as simple as this step may sound its significance is vital... we are not islands, we need eachother, but in a good way...
Right at the end of that chapter Jorge Bucay shares a lovely story about a man who got killed in a terrible storm along with his horse and dog, their death was fast and with no pain.. and for that they were confused and didn't realised they were not longer alive...
Because they were at a dessert all they wanted was water and after walking for hours they came across an Oasis that had a big sign saying "PARADISE".
The man walked in and asked for water, the person encharged replied - Sure, but only for you, this paradise is only for humans not for animals, so you can come in but the dog and the horse can't-.
The man was reluctant, he was really thristy, but so were his friends, after a few seconds, he refused to enter the paradise saying -no-, and left....
After a few hours, days or maybe weeks, the man and his 2 fellowfriends came across with another PARADISE..
Please - said the man-, we need water and a place to rest.
Sure, go ahead- said the guardian.
Well, you see I will not enter without my dog and my horse- warned the man.
Sure. You are all welcome- answers the guardian.
The man feels grateful and the three enter the paradise drinking fresh water.
We came across another PARADISE before coming here- said the man, but they wouldn't allow my friends to go in with me...
Oh yeah - replied the guardian - that place is HELL.
But what a disgrace!! - replied the man-, you should do something about it! they get into people's path to Paradise!!
No - clarifies the guardian -, In fact, they make us a favor, avoiding that those who are capable of leaving their friends behind can enter this PARADISE.......
None goes far without the love of his friends..
None goes anywhere forgetting those who loves.....
